英语课堂教学活动设计——以The Area I l...一. 教学内容 本课是香港朗文教材Integrated Primary English 3B教材中的第六课。 本课将学习三个介词短语 opposite, next to,nearby 并能够运用句型There is a … next to the…/ There is a … opposite the…/和There is a… nearby. 进行建筑物方位的描述,同时也能够表述在某些方位可以进行的一些活动。 学生在遥和第二课时的教学活动中已经掌握了There be 句型表示方位并能够遥I can do 等句型,所以在第三课时中我设计了丰富的教学活动,以一些学生乐于接受,乐于参与的教学活动使学生熟悉并灵活遥本课的句型。 并以此为基础使学生对未来的环境保护和环境设计合理化有更深层的认识,有助于拓宽学生的想象力和创造力。
(设计意图:营造轻松愉快的课堂气氛,让学生在放松的心情中开始学习) Step 2. Revision (1) Show the pictures of some places to the students and review the words.
(2) Word guessing game.
Guess what the place is by listening to the tape. Like this: It is tall. You can go shopping there. What is it? It is a shopping centre.
(3) Ask and answer Ask students to describe the place that the teacher shows to them. And practice the sentence pattern: I can … there.
(设计意图:通过本环节的复习和巩固,一方面可以唤起学生对之前已经学习过的内容的复习,另一反面也可以通过游戏教学法,增加一些新单词,新知识的输入,扩宽学生的思维) Step 3. Presentation (1) Listen to a short passage about Mary’s flat Tell the students to listen to the passage and try to draw out the surroundings of Mary’s flat as follows. (2) Class discussion Discuss whether Mary’s flat is good to live with their parents. Then ask some students to modify the surroundings of Mary’s flat.
(设计意图:此环节通过美化原有教师提供的教学资料中MARY的居住环境,可以使学生有更多更好的设计理念,为下一个环节的自我居住环境的设计埋下伏笔) (3)Design presentation Tell the students that the teacher is going to buy a new flat, but there are two choices. Ask the students to help the teacher to choose the best flat.
a. Ask two groups of students to act as the designers to introduce the new flats, using the new words and expressions to introduce.
(设计意图:本环节通过两组学生的表演,给其他的学生做了示范表演,其他学生也对如何介绍房屋和周边环境的口语表达方式有了大概了解) b. Group discussion: Discuss the good points and the bad points of the two flats.
c. Let the students to vote and judge which flat they like best.
(设计意图:通过学生遥决定,并在小组的讨论中对两套房屋优缺点的比较,让更多的学生开口进行练习。 也可以指导学生运用其他的一些句型或表达方式,如:I don’t like this flat because…/ There isn’t a … / I can’t …there等来表达相反的意见) (4) Creative work Let the students design their own dream house, then show their works to their classmates. 六.活动评述 本节课较好地完成了教学任务,通过一个完整任务的几个环节,由浅入深,较好地提高了学生的实际语言运用能力,同时也培养了学生的创造遥思维和合作精神,学生主动参与课堂,成为了课堂的主体。
