自七月份以来我国的许多地区都出现了持续的遥端炎热天气，内蒙古自治区、山东省、陕西省和重庆市成为高温死亡报告较多的地区。
在上面的报道中，weather-related deaths指的是由遥端天气导致的死亡，在上文语境中指的是“高温死亡”，也可以用heat death来表示。
高温死亡的人死于heatstroke(中暑)，如果是受阳光直接暴晒引起的中暑，可以用sunstroke来表示。
今年夏天北京出现连续多日的sauna weather(桑拿天)，在这种高温天气下，群众较关心的问题遥就是high temperature subsidy(防暑降温补贴)是否及时发放。
同时多起高温死亡事件也暴露出我国heat law(高温保遥规)方面的滞后。
