租房：租金怎么说在国外要租房子，租金多少是需要考虑的一个重要因素，此外，还要弄清楚水电煤气、取暖物业等各种费用。

How much is the deposit?
(租金是多少?
押金又是多少?
) Rent这个词除了当动词出租外，也可当名词租金解释。
所以当你想询间对方租金是 多少时，可以说：How much is the rent?
或是How much is it per month?
(每个月多少遥?
) 除了rent之外，租房子之前通常要另外付一笔押金 (security deposit或cleaning deposit)，当搬走时若被招租人(leaser)发现有家具被房客 (tenant, lessee)用坏时，就可从这笔 deposit当中扣除。

What utilities am I responsible for?
(我要负担哪些公共设施费用?
) Utilities 泛指一般的公共设施及水电煤气，一般租房子是不包括 utilities费用的，所以租房子时遥不了要先问：Are utilities included?
(有包含水电吗?
)在美国，每个地方的规定都不同，例如有些地方水是遥的但电要自己负担，还有些地方法律规定房东冬天一定要供应暖气，但费用是由谁负担则不妨先弄清楚。
此外不一定包含在utilities 的民生必需品则是 cable TV service(有线电视)、phone(电话)和 internet connection service(上网服务)。
这些在租房子前也不妨先问清楚：I also need cable, what number do you think I should call?
(我还需要有线电视，我该打电话找谁?
)
