It was hard for them to decide where to move.
The desks and chairs moved as though they had lives of their own.
Foggy mistswould appear suddenly to hedge their sight.
They felt as though they were lost in a mistymaze.
They kept losing sightof each other.
Then on finding each other once more,they decided to stick closelytogether.
They werefrightened, but they knewthey had to get out.

Unknown thickset plants grew quite well all around butnobody was on the streetexcept them.
Images of the red buildings and rows of willows and phoenix trees flew into her mind.
"We must be dreaming",Lydia mumbled.
There was a long silence.
Theydid not know what to do.
They dared not returnto the strange room that led them to this alien place?
Who knows where it would take them.
But did they have any other choice?


"Hey, children, what are you doing here",a tall old man in livery said, coming upto them.
His livery was silvery white too!
Melissa and Lydia looked at each other but did not know what to say.
What could they say?
"We do not belong to this world"!
He wouldthink them mad.

The man looked at them for a while and said,
"Where are you from"?
The two girls were shocked.
How could he know they werenot people fromthis place?
The man seemed to know what they werethinking.
"Energy around you told me so.
This is a transparent world".

"Transparent world", the two girls exclaimed in tandem?
"Yes,your heart would attract energy similar to its own.
Maybe you could not see the energy, but people could feel it.
If your emotion is strong, the energyspreads itselfand is felt bypeople similarly attracted to it, butnot others".
Melissa and Lydia looked at each other unbelievingly.
A strong wind came up suddenly andsurprisedthem.
"Keep calm children!
Your mood influences eventshere".
The old man did not like the wind at all.
"How can we get back?
”Lydia asked eagerly.

"Bythe road that led you here", said the old man.

"That classroom?
" asked the girls.

"Yes if that was the passage.
Goback to it and feel as you felt when you entered it.
Find the right mood and the right place".

"But then we mightgo to a wrong place"!

"I'mafraid so" said the old man.
"If there are already two worlds, how can we know none other exists"?

"No, no",Lydia said frustrated!

"We have to go back, Lydia",Melissa said firmly.
"Come on".

"But we don't even knowwhere we are headed, Melissa"!

"We have to try", said Melissa.

Pale faced, Lydia nodded andthey started their return journey, with deepanxiety, uncertain of their destination.
